Why we started this coalition

In two of the last four legislative sessions in Wisconsin, the worker’s compensation “agreed upon bill” has failed to pass the legislature.

The abandonment of the traditional reliance on the Worker’s Comp Advisory Council threatens to remove the element that has made Wisconsin’s worker’s compensation system one of the most stable and low-cost in the nation.

The Worker’s Comp Works in Wisconsin Coalition is an initiative of business leaders, policy makers, employers, Republicans, Democrats and Independents who understand a good thing. The goal of the campaign is to remind policy makers of the old adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
